Network Basics
From MEPIS Documentation Wiki
A computer network is simply defined as "A connection of two or more computers so that they can share resources." Resources are in the form of hardware (ie. printers), software, data, Internet connection, etc. Some basic reading can be found here: How Home Networking Works
If you would like to set up a home network to connect to the other Linux or Windows computers in your house, see File sharing (Samba), Print Server, or some of the other Networking topics.
