Anyone used Disk Genius before?

I’ve used Disk Genius a couple of times and it has its pros and cons. Overall, it’s a pretty decent utility for data recovery. One thing I appreciated was its comprehensive features – you can do partition management, recover lost files, clone partitions, etc. The interface isn’t too bad either. It’s fairly intuitive, but could be a bit overwhelming if you’re not tech-savvy.

However, in my experience, the success rate of recovering all my lost data wasn’t as high as I hoped. I had an external HDD that suffered a pretty bad crash, and Disk Genius was able to recover some files, but not everything. Some of the recovered files were also corrupted or incomplete.

If you’re looking for other reliable alternatives, I’d suggest checking out Disk Drill

. I’ve had great success with it. It’s user-friendly and quite powerful in terms of its recovery capabilities. In one instance, it managed to recover 90% of the data from my old SSD which had failed. It supports a wide range of file systems and devices, and they offer a free trial which lets you see what can be recovered before purchasing.

You can find more about it at this link: Disk Drill Data Recovery Software: https://cleverfiles.com/lp/data-recovery-software.html

The website provides comprehensive details about the software and its functionality. Besides, Disk Drill also offers some useful additional tools like S.M.A.R.T. disk monitoring which can warn you ahead of potential disk failures.

In summary, Disk Genius is useful, especially if you’re comfortable with more technical nuances. But if you want something that’s straightforward with a high recovery rate, Disk Drill would be my go-to.
